Join the friendly Bacchus Marsh Golf Club and enjoy all the benefits of a full membership. After three months we believe you will enjoy your experience enough to consider the option to continue your membership.

 

Trial membership includes:

·         all green fees for three months (excluding competition fees)

·         rights to obtain an official handicap and play in club competitions *

·         a free golf lesson from the pro shop  

·         a club membership card

·         insurance and affiliation fees paid

·         a rules of golf booklet

·         a club syllabus

·         a free joining gift from the club

·         a golf buggy membership tag with expiration date

·         a warm welcome to the club from all existing members, together with encouragement and understanding to ensure you enjoy your experience

 *Trial membership excludes:

-          trial members will not be eligible for any club ‘board event’, including monthly medals. They may still play on the day and win the competition for the day.

-          trial member will not have voting rights

-          trial member cannot play in club pennant competitions

Conditions Apply:

-          not available to existing or previous golfing members of BMGC

-          can apply for this membership type once only

Bacchus Marsh Golf Club is a semi-private golf course however opportunities exist for non-members to play.  Visitors are welcome to play at Bacchus Marsh Golf Club at any time a members competition is not in play.

Booking times available for visitors:-

Saturday - after 3.00 pm (Members competition day)

Sunday - from 08.00 am (Group bookings welcome)

Monday - from 08.00 am

Tuesday - from 08.00 am

Wednesday - after 11.00 am (Ladies mid-week competition)

Thursday - after 11.00 am (Men's mid-week competition)

Friday - from 08.00 am

Local Rules

TO BE USED IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE RULES ON THE SCORECARD  

1.           PREFERRED LIES ON ALL FAIRWAYS – (NOT including the practice fairway)

A ball lying on any “closely mown area” through the green may, without penalty, be marked, lifted, cleaned and placed within one club length but not nearer the hole.

After the ball has been placed it is in play. i.e. you can place once only ! 

Failure to mark the ball before lifting incurs a penalty of one stroke.

Relief MUST be taken in areas marked as G.U.R on these fairways. 

TO BE USED IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE RULES ON THE SCORECARD  

  1.  CRACKS RELIEF

Relief may be taken from cracks (through the green)                                Rule 25.1.B

  1.  MARKED AREAS & TREE STUMPS

All marked areas and tree stumps – treat as G.U.R relief                        Rule 25.1.B

  1.  WHEEL MARKS AND TRACKS

All wheel marks and tracks - treated as G.U.R. relief                              Rule 25.1.B

  1.  IRRIGATION WORK

All excavation work associated with  irrigation system - treated as G.U.R. relief    Rule 25.1.B     

  1.  RELIEF ON GREENS

If the ball is on the putting surface, relief may be obtained from sprinkler heads and repaired work on greens.

  1.  BRIDGE between 9th and 15th fairway

The bridge and rocky area to be treated as immovable obstruction            Rule 24.2

  1.  STAKED TREES AND TREES UNDER  TWO CLUB LENGTHS

This rule is intended to protect young trees identified by stakes. If such a tree interferes with a player’s stance or intended swing plane, the ball MUST be lifted without penalty and dropped as per immovable obstruction rule.                                                                      Rule 24-2B

  1.  ROPED OFF AREAS

All roped off areas of the course MUST be treated as compulsory G.U.R. and relief must be taken in accordance with the procedure in                                                         Rule 25.1.B

  1.  GARDEN BEDS

All garden beds on the course MUST be treated as compulsory G.U.R. and relief must be taken in accordance with the procedure in                                                           Rule 25.1.B
